Nigel Kersten is the CIO and VP of Operations at Puppet Labs, a prominent IT automation company that curates a range of open source projects around configuration management and provisioning. He came to Puppet Labs from Google HQ in Mountain View, where he was responsible for the design and implementation of one of the largest Puppet deployments in the world, and has been a Linux and Mac OSX sysadmin since well before MacOS became a UNIX.
