Recently, Amount of data stored in business has been growing nonlinearly. thereby, Storage must be able to store large and mass data and to use stored mass data.
Swift, a part of OpenStack Project, is the open source software that can construct scalable and robustness distributed object storage. Swift Community is now approaching to realize features such as Erasure Coding, Searching, and more.

In this session, He will introduce basics of Swift and Swift's latest information. and he wish to discuss the future of Swift, including Python, cgroups, etc.

Platform engineer, NTT Data Corporation
He had developed PostgreSQL encryption module as an internship student at NTT Data in 2011. At this time, he knew OpenStack, and started to use it. He has joined OpenStack Swift development project since 2013. In this project, He is focusing on activities on the theme of Swift with Full-Text Searching. and also he is involved in Apache Solr and Apache Lucene.
